If anybody in the crowd knows some Freud, they’ll know that this is a pretty cool opportunity to practice some psychoanalysis. So here you go; read me. For context, I clock about 3 hours of screen time/day. I think that’s probably as relevant, for all of us, as the app list itself.
[Super Ego] There are only five apps I keep on my home screen, for easy access:
- Blue Letter Bible
- Merriam Webster Dictionary
- Clock
- Notepad
- Text Messaging
[Ego] Then, there are the five apps that my digital stewardship app clocks me on most often:
- Samsung Browser (Doomscrolling, mostly.)
- Gmail (I don’t care that they’re spying and selling my data. I’m a man in Christ; I’m accustomed to being targeted.)
- Blue Letter Bible (The Word of Life, folks.)
- Notepad (Ideas, Thoughts, Prayers and Plans)
- Spotify (White Noise and Worship)
[Id] Then, there are the five apps I’m ashamed to admit I spend so much time on:
- Samsung Browser (Doomscrolling, mostly)
- Amazon (Just cancelled Prime. HalleluYah!)
- Phone (If we’re gonna talk, let’s cover all the bases.)
- Google Health (Gotta clock the sleep score and energy burned.)
- My Ride K-12 (To track the kids’ school bus.)
Thassit.
